Swim lessons

Trey is doing great at swim lessons. I really am impressed with the swim school. He is on station #3 which is the 'blue fish float'. You can see he is pretty happy to be there.

Here is Paige hanging out in the waiting room and coloring for 4 seconds (her average interest in anything). Grandma has met us at Trey's swim school almost every week to watch Paige which is a tremendous help. Thanks Grandma!

Boy Bonding & come on rain!!

Trey and Dominique watching a huge monster truck driven by Jesse James jump / land on a small house...such boy stuff.
I just thought these clouds were amazing. We are still waiting and praying for rain around here.

Trey's New Bed

We went to Ikea and bought Trey a new bed and night table. It really makes his room look nicer and he likes it a lot. So does Paige...for jumping that is. We actually bought her a bed frame too, but we still need the actual mattress and bed linens so we are holding off until early fall maybe before putting it together. Plus, I am in no hurry to have her wandering the house and waking us all up since she won't be confined in her crib. I'm SO NOT looking forward to that transition! {And please excuse Baby Tara's nakedness...Paige prefers her "maked".}

Extreme close up!

Proud Big Girl

So this post may be TMI for some of you. Just count yourself warned. I am so proud of Paigey. She is doing a great job getting the hang of this potty thing. All it takes is stickers, m&m's, prizes, patience, reminders and did I mention stickers?
Note how the left side is covered with stickers...this is her success with #1. The right side...well, zero, zilch, nada, nothing. That's okay, in good time my dear, in good time!

Yeah for me!

And did I mention that Trey gets m&m's too for being the cheering section??

Happy 4th!

It is so unbelievably hot here (100+) so we decided to skip the Gtown 4th of July celebration and have our own parade up the street. The kids decorated their bikes with streamers and our neighbor friends joined us. Our 'parade' lasted about 5 minutes which was enough for all of us. Then it was into our friends kiddie pool to cool off.

I caught Trey giving Paige a hug on the couch, but of course by the time I grabbed my camera, the moment was gone. So here is a re-enactment of the hug which does not even compare to the real deal.
Hugs to you all!

Return House Guest

She's baaaaaaaaack!
Our friend Dorothy the fish that is!

New Camera

Yippee for me! I finally bought a new camera!
Our old camera (which is 6 years old) is slower than a turtle and would drive me nuts when I was taking pictures of the kids. Now I have a Canon and I am in love!

Plumbago in our front flower beds.
Thanks for your leftover flowers Dad!
