The Lady Bug Club pictures

This morning Paige had individual and group pictures of her class all dressed up in their recital costumes.   Ms. Emily, my hairdresser, made a house call very early to put Paige's hair up into a high ponytail - isn't that pathetic that I couldn't do it?  I won't even make any excuses other than I am SO NOT talented when it comes to hair - obviously, I have had the same hair style since, well, forever.  When Paige saw herself in the mirror she said "I look like a boy!!!".

So during the photo shoot for each individual shot, the girls all looked serious, scared or totally distracted.  The group shot was next to impossible...9 (missing one out sick) 3 or 4 year old girls all moving in different directions.  It was funny - one would sit instead of kneel, then one would put her arms up that wasn't supposed to and the one that should would put her arms down.  After many "say fuzzy pickles", there was one 'acceptable' one (which I don't have a shot of).  Below are my shots of the chaos, er I mean fun.

Easter morning

Trey was wide awake and full of excitement at 6:25 - why can't he be like that for school days I just don't know. ;.)  Paige woke up soon after and there were shrieks of excitement coming from the family room.  They had fun looking for candy filled and money filled eggs.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

This morning the kids enjoyed our small neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  And now that it is over, they are anxiously awaiting their next hunt from the Easter Bunny's visit tomorrow morning.

Ford Family Fun Day - Fun Run!

Ford Family Fun Day is Trey's elementary school's fundraiser where they raffle off amazing baskets, have fun and games for the kids (including Trey's & Paige's favorite - the cake walk) and food and vendors to shop from.  They kick it off with a fun run for the kids.  I ran with Paige again this year and am happy to say that I didn't have to carry her at all - yeah!!!  We did one of the two and a half laps around the school.  Dominique ran with Trey and coached him along the way, encouraging him not to stop at all, but just slow his pace if he was tired.  The big finish - Trey won 1st place for First Grade!!  I didn't bring my camera, but a friend got a few shots of the last sprint before the finish line.
