The kids and I and Grandma and Grandpa took a quick trip to San Antonio last week. We stayed at The Westin La Cantera which had it's pluses and minuses. The pool was definitely a hit with a fun water slide as you can see from the pics below. We had smores one evening and went on a scavenger hunt. There was also a kid discovery zone which had a bunch of jump houses, but it was just way too hot for that and we couldn't tear ourselves away from the pool. The second day we visited Sea World. It was so unbelievably hot, but the troops prevailed. Have I mentioned that it was hot? (Btw, my car thermometer read 111 degrees in the parking lot when we left). I am so proud of how well Trey and Paige did and also how well Grandma and Grandpa kept up with us! My Mom even went on 'Journey to Atlantis', the huge water roller coaster! It was Paige's first experience and she wanted more! We saw 4 great shows, hit the sprinkler area called Sesame Street Bay of Play, rode a few little rides and made promises to the kids that we would go back next summer. Hopefully Daddy will be able to join us next time as we all missed him so much.
