Kindergarten Texas Day!!

Kindergarten celebrates "Texas Day" every year.  The kids had a blast riding ponies, designing their own bandannas, learning about cowboys and square dancing.  Yee haw!!

Sleep over fun??

The kids wanted a 'sleep over' tonight...so Paige moved into Trey's bed.  It is now 9:45 and they are still awake.  "We can't sleep - our eyes are wide open". (Insert image of fingers spreading eyelids wide apart).  I have a feeling I may have two grumpies on my hands tomorrow.  What fun!

Love that they get along so well
Rex is always included.  How can you resist that face?

Nighty night!

Christmas 2012

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.  We certainly did.  Everyone had an enjoyable day.  Of course when all the gift opening was over, Trey and Paige both were so sad saying, "I wish tomorrow was Christmas".  That is why the season is so much fun - the anticipation of the day and spending it together.

Wishing you a Great New Year!!  2013 here we come!

Christmas Stroll 2012

Paige performed once again at the Georgetown Christmas Stroll last Saturday.  As always, she did an excellent job (and only had 3 practices, yes, that is right, only 3) and I am so proud of her.  It was a crazy 80 degrees that day and VERY sunny.  Who knew we would need sunscreen on December 1st!

Waiting to perform.

Waiting some more with some friends / fellow dancers.

Up on stage for the Finale.

Climbing Snowzilla.

Weeeeeeee!  See her on the left?

Austin Duck Tour

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday and we ended it today with a tour downtown and on the lake with Austin Duck Tour.  Our tour guide was excellent, the weather was G O R G E O U S and I would say we all learned a lot about our home city, the great capital of Texas.

Halloween 2012

We all had another fun Halloween.  Paige was Dorothy and Trey was, well Trey.  We came home with 7 lbs, yes you read that correctly, 7 lbs of candy after trick or treating.  Good golly!

Family Farm Day at the Baums

Our former neighbors invited us out to their farm for a fun Saturday along with a bunch of other families.  They have one dog, three cats, two horses, four cows, six goats, two donkeys and a bunch of chickens and guineas.  For us city dwellers, it was quite the attraction.  They also had so much fun for the kids - pumpkin carving, face painting/tattoos/stickers, pinata, hayride, horse rides and more!  And of course all the BBQ and fixings you can eat.  What was really special was that their donkey had a baby just 2 weeks ago and more unbelievable was that their goat had three babies the day before!  And as if the day wasn't fun enough, we had a Halloween party to go to at night.  We were a bit late and tired so we didn't stop at home to put on our costumes.  There was a DJ with laser lights and I think Paige was in heaven dancing around the whole dance floor and requesting songs.  What an awesome weekend!

Baby goats!  They are tiny like puppies.
